Preschool Teacher
Registered Behavior Technician
Kayce is a graduate of Winthrop University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Throughout her college experience, she worked as an after school counselor and registered behavior technician (RBT), and regularly worked with children on the autism spectrum.
Prior to joining Carolina Therapeutics Academy (CTA) as a special needs preschool teacher, Kayce gained valuable experience in early intervention service coordination which involved ensuring that children and families who required a myriad of therapy services were paired with appropriate providers capable of meeting their needs. Working with children for several years before joining CTA has given Kayce valuable educational and therapeutic experience, and has been both a fun and rewarding experience for her.
Kayce encourages and welcomes parental involvement in every child’s educational and therapeutic experience and believes students enrolled with CTA thrive as a result of the collaboration of care between teachers, therapists, and parents.
When not working with children, Kayce is reading, spending time with her family (especially her nieces and nephews) and friends, and she is currently planning on pursuing her masters degree!
